The Antwerp draughtsman Jan Peeters was known for his ship drawings. This etching appeared in the volume: "Thooneel der Steden ende Sterckten van t'Vereenight Nederlandt met d'aengrensende Plaetsen soo in Brabandt Vlaenderen als enen Rhijn en elders verovert door de Waepenen der Groot-moghende Heeren Staeten onder het gheley vanande seer Edele Hooghghebore Princen van Oranien". In late 2006, preparations began to waterproof the roof of the main building, install domes over the large holes where the gun turrets used to be and preserve the exterior wall of the main building.
The front facade at the level of the engine room entrance will be restored to its former glory.
Now, in mid-June 2007, work is in full swing. Below are some photos of the progress.
